Job Summary
Server at Denny’s responsible for greeting, seating, and serving guests; take and deliver orders, suggestively sell, handle payments, and assist other service staff to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintains knowledge of station and menu, ensures timely delivery of food and beverages, handles cash transactions, adheres to brand standards, and provides courteous service throughout the dining experience. The role requires strong guest service, team collaboration, English communication, basic math, POS operation, and flexibility to work a schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends. Emphasizes Denny’s guiding principles and customer-centric service from arrival to departure.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Minimum age requirement of 21 in restaurants that serve alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Possesses excellent guest service skills
- Possesses basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Must be able to operate point of sale system
- Must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
