Job Summary
Server greets and seats guests, takes and delivers orders, responds to guest concerns, and assists service staff to ensure total guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include suggestively selling to achieve guest check averages, accurately entering orders into the POS, preparing beverages and select menu items, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining dining area cleanliness, handling cash and transactions, and upholding Denny’s Brand Standards. Must be able to lift/carry, stand for long shifts, and work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends. Requires strong guest service, basic math, English communication, teamwork, and knowledge of menu and service procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Minimum age requirement of 21 in restaurants that free pour alcoholic beverages
