Job Summary
Temporary Server at The Lexington Hotel NYC responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and accurate food service to hotel guests. Duties include greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, inputting orders into the POS, handling payments, preparing coffee and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and maintaining knowledge of hotel amenities. Emphasizes guest relations, teamwork, knowledge of menu offerings, and consistent, high-quality service in a fast-paced hotel dining environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
- Always provide friendly service with a smile to guests
- Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekend based on the demands of the hotel
- Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate manager
- Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule
- Must provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift
- Physical Working Demands: Standing, Walking, Repetitive Motions, Lifting
- Read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language
