Job Summary
Greet guests promptly, take food and beverage orders, and enter them into the POS accurately while explaining dishes and ingredients based on customer requests. Gather special needs for the chef, ensure drinks are filled and food delivered, clear empty plates, and address service issues by communicating with management, bartenders, and bar backs. Maintain composure during busy times, follow all food safety and cleanliness regulations, and handle cash transactions including counting back change. Candidates must be 18 years of age, hold or obtain Montana Alcohol Server Training within 60 days, and possess flexible availability including weekends. This role requires physical stamina for long periods on your feet and lifting up to 35 lbs. - Previous experience in a bar or restaurant in a serving capacity
- Capable of being physically active for long periods of time
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted, often times lifting over your head
- Ability to balance trays containing food and beverages
- Ability to regularly bend, stoop, lean, and twist your body
- Ability to go up and down stairs on a regular basis
- Knowledge of mixed drinks, wines, and beers
- Familiarizing yourself with the entire menu and having the ability to explain the dishes and ingredients to guests, making recommendations based off of customer requests
- Always following all food safety and cleanliness rules and regulations
- Candidates must take required certifications within established timeframe (Alcohol Training and Food Service Training)
