Job Summary
The Server Support Technician is responsible for performing basic to complex troubleshooting activities for desktops, laptops, and servers while providing customer support for designated equipment. This role requires effective communication skills with clients and adherence to established service levels. Technicians will handle service calls, maintain inventory control, and complete all required documentation according to policy. Additional responsibilities include understanding safety guidelines, participating in a stand-by rotation, and complying with OEM certification standards. The position demands a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work overtime or travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Technical school certification or equivalent
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation with valid registration and adequate insurance
- Must be able to pass annual criminal and motor vehicle background
- Must be part of stand-by rotation in the assigned geography as directed by manager
Desired Qualifications
- Maintain all required OEM Certifications as directed by Management
- Knowledge of relevant software and hardware
- Ability to communicate regarding technical issues with clients
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Ability to drive long distances, and occasional overnight assignments within other geographies
- Ability to pass drug screen at time of hire or as business needs require
- Ability to pass agility test at date of hire or internal transfer and every 3 years thereafter
- Must own a basic repair tool kit

- Must pass drug screening
- Must be able to lift and or move various computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
