Job Summary
The Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, serving items, and providing excellent customer service. Key duties include effectively communicating with guests and co-workers, demonstrating knowledge of menu items, checking guest identification, monitoring alcohol consumption, performing side work, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Required qualifications include at least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, bartender, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
- Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash and credit
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Fluent in English, other languages preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
