Job Summary
The Server in a Senior Living Community is responsible for performing table waiting, completing side work, and fulfilling other kitchen duties as assigned. Key responsibilities include communicating daily menu details to residents, adhering to safety procedures, and observing residents' condition changes. Candidates are expected to have a positive attitude, good customer service skills, and a genuine concern for the elderly, including those experiencing memory loss.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Must be able to meet physical demands such as stooping, bending, turning, stretching, lifting trays and moving equipment
- Must have patience and tact in dealing with residents’ family members and staff
- Must demonstrate overall positive, professional image and attitude
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant setting
- Education or training in waiting tables and serving
- Ability to work with elderly, including those with memory loss
