Job Summary
We’re seeking a Server to provide exceptional dining experiences for our residents. In this role, you’ll ensure high-quality service during meals, maintain a clean and safe dining environment, and support a team that creates a pleasant and engaging atmosphere. You’ll interact directly with residents, families, and coworkers, helping to foster a welcoming and positive community. Deliver excellent customer service and ensure residents’ dining preferences and dietary needs are met; circulate in the dining room to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly; maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment; follow safe work practices and support team compliance with Safety Committee standards; assist coworkers beyond assigned duties to ensure smooth service and a positive team environment; report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in food service preferred
- Current ServSafe Certification required
- Ability to obtain/hold local, state, or county food handling/sanitation licenses as required
- Must be 18 years or older, pass health screenings, TB clearance, fingerprinting, and background checks
- First Aid certification required
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure
