Job Summary
Greet guests with a smile, suggestively sell menu offerings, and take food and beverage orders while processing payments and verifying ID for alcohol service. Monitor guest satisfaction, maintain clean dining areas and service stations, and follow safe food handling and hygiene practices. Perform opening and closing side work, operate equipment safely, and report malfunctions to management. This temporary role at SeaTac Airport requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Candidates must meet state minimum age for alcohol service and obtain alcohol awareness certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to obtain alcohol awareness certification
- Ability to effectively interact with customers, coworkers, and members of management
- Ability to focus on providing a superior guest experience in an enthusiastic and professional manner
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate information individually and in small group situations
- Ability to understand the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to apply reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Must be able to visually navigate through the unit
- Must be able to lift and carry (0-40 lbs.)
- Must be able to reach, grasp, push and pulling (0-40 lb.)
- Must be able to stoop and bend
