Job Summary
Take customer food and drink orders, serve meals and beverages, and prepare itemized checks while accepting payments. Escort guests to tables, set up and clear surfaces, and operate the cash register to process transactions. Verify patron identification to ensure compliance with alcohol purchase age requirements. Maintain tidy, stocked tables and side stands throughout the shift. Familiarize yourself with the restaurant and lounge layout, menu specials, and POS system operations. Perform opening and closing procedures, including cashiering functions and end-of-shift paperwork, per station rotation assignments. Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and all applicable safety certifications, such as Food Handlers and Alcohol Awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
