Job Summary
Provide gracious hospitality to residents and guests in a senior living dining environment. Role involves assisting in Bar and Coffee Shop, guiding guests through menus with thorough knowledge of food/beverages, maintaining dining area cleanliness and appearance, taking accurate orders, coordinating with team to deliver prompt service, setting tables, assisting with meal preparation when requested, maintaining stock levels in bar/coffee shop/front-of-house, and supporting special events. Requires caring mindset, ability to work flexible shifts (holidays/weekends), HS diploma or GED, potential ServSafe certification, and hospitality experience; bar card may be state-relevant. Proficiency with POS systems and strong interpersonal communication are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- ServSafe Certification if applicable by state requirements
- Food server/hospitality experience required
- Bar Card preferred if applicable to state requirements
- Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards
- Knowledge of a POS system preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and residents
