Job Summary
Ensure that all residents and guests receive gracious hospitality and have a pleasant dining experience. Guide guests through menus, demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverages, and take accurate orders while partnering with team members to deliver prompt service. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all dining areas, set and reset tables, and assist with meal preparation, stock levels, and special events as requested. Assist in the bar and coffee shop as scheduled. This role supports Dogwood Terrace by Barclay House, a senior living community focused on wellness and joy. Candidates must have food server or hospitality experience, a caring heart, and flexibility to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- ServSafe Certification if applicable by state requirements
- Food server/hospitality experience required
- Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards
- Able to be flexible and work a variety of shifts including holidays, weekends and for pre-planned special events
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and residents
Desired Qualifications
- Bar Card preferred if applicable to state requirements
- Knowledge of a POS system preferred
