Job Summary
Take food and drink orders from tables in your assigned section, conduct wine and coffee service, and assist housemen with setting up buffets, food stations, and ceremonies. Greet members and guests while responding to requests in a friendly manner, then read, understand, and execute event orders. Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties while adhering to company uniform, grooming, and NYS Health and Safety codes. Follow checklists and Standard Operating Procedures, and perform any related duties as requested by the supervisor. Full-time or part-time hourly position with competitive pay and holiday bonuses. Evening, weekend, and holiday work required.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a server/waitstaff
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Energetic and professional
- Possesses a passion for exceeding member expectations with a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest quality member and guest experience
- Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury
- Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day
- Employees must be able to push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
- Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at a time
- Must be able to work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of POS systems (JONAS) preferred
- Basic knowledge of DOH regulations
- Team player with positive attitude and excellent communication skills with attention to detail
