Job Summary
Take orders from guests for food and beverages, check identification for alcohol service, and enter orders into handheld computers for kitchen transmittal. Run food and drinks from kitchen, pastry, and bar areas to tables, bus tables to ensure a clean environment, and collect payments from customers. Serve specialty dishes, explain menu preparation and ingredients, recommend wine pairings, and pour wine with appropriate glasses. Assist the host with reservations, greet guests, and inform patrons of daily specials. Prepare place settings, stock service areas, and perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and tidying. Attend pre-shift meetings and stock supplies like coffee and condiments. Must be 18 years old with one year of dining experience, able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Hourly rate is $4 plus tips with health insurance available after 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience working in full or quick service dining
- Must be 18 years old due to service of alcohol
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Capable of continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms
- Are punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
- Contribute to a positive team environment
