Job Summary
Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests while upselling items to maximize sales volume. Ensure customer requests are completed according to established standards and maintain clean, organized work areas. Complete all payment transactions, side-work, and table resets per standard, while checking IDs and suspending service to intoxicated individuals per Delaware law. Execute other duties as assigned by management and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Requires a minimum of three years serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar, fluency in English, and completion of state-specific TIPS training. Flexible working hours apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to suspend service to intoxicated individuals in accordance with Delaware law
- Must have strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills
- Must be fluent in English and demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly with guests and co-workers
- Must be willing to 'pitch-in' and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
- Must have basic knowledge of Beer, Wine and Spirits and be familiar with menu items
- Must demonstrate the ability to upsell and drive revenue
- Must have a minimum of 3 years serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar
- Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and cordial behavior
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Must complete state specific (Delaware) TIPS or Comparable Training
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of MICROS Helpful, but not required
