Job Summary
Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests while upselling items to maximize sales volume. Maintain clean and organized work areas, complete all payment transactions, and re-set tables according to established standards. Interact verbally with all guests, check IDs when necessary, and notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired customers. Execute other duties as assigned by management and demonstrate strong organizational and mathematical skills. Requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and completing state-specific TIPS training. Minimum of three years serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to suspend service to intoxicated individuals in accordance with Delaware law
- Must have strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills
- Must be fluent in English and demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly with guests and co-workers
- Must be willing to 'pitch-in' and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player
- Must have basic knowledge of Beer, Wine and Spirits and be familiar with menu items
- Must demonstrate the ability to upsell and drive revenue
- Must have a minimum of 3 years serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar
- Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and cordial behavior
- Flexible working hours
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Must complete state specific (Delaware) TIPS or Comparable Training
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of MICROS Helpful, but not required
