Job Summary
Greet guests courteously, take verbal orders for meals and drinks, and serve high-quality food while checking portions and presentation. Handle cash, credit cards, gift cards, and POS equipment to process guest checks accurately. Monitor food temperatures during hot and cold handling, maintain workstation and pantry cleanliness, and perform side duties like rolling silverware and restocking condiments during shift downtime. Communicate with managers and co-workers regarding product or service deficiencies, equipment, and safety issues. Maintain sufficient menu knowledge to execute suggestive selling and anticipate system breakdowns to ensure maximum guest satisfaction. Work irregular hours under pressure during peak times while lifting trays up to 20 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service
- Trustworthy; can be relied upon to deal with payment of guest checks and operate cash register
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Must have high level of mobility/flexibility
- Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy stress/pressure during peak times
- Must possess a high level of coordination
- Must lift and carry serving trays weight up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
- Must be able to fit through an opening 30" wide
- Requires frequent reaching, bending, pushing and pulling
- Requires continual standing and walking
