Job Summary
Ensure residents and guests receive gracious hospitality and a pleasant dining experience by guiding them through menus and demonstrating thorough food and beverage knowledge. Assist in the Bar and Coffee Shop as scheduled, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all dining areas, and set or reset tables according to company standards. Take accurate orders, partner with team members to deliver prompt service, and assist with meal preparation, stock levels, and special events as requested. This role requires flexibility for varying hours, weekends, and holidays within a senior living environment at Laurel Grove by Barclay House.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- SERV Safe Certification if applicable by state requirements
- Food server/hospitality experience required
- Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards
- Able to be flexible and work a variety of shifts including holidays, weekends and for pre-planned special events
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and residents
Desired Qualifications
- Bar Card preferred if applicable to state requirements
- Knowledge of a POS system preferred
