Job Summary
Serve food and beverages at banquets, weddings, conferences, and other catered events while maintaining service standards. Set up, maintain, and break down banquet rooms, buffet stations, and beverage areas. Take orders, deliver meals, and respond promptly to guest requests. Work concession stands as a cashier during arena events, operating the point-of-sale system and processing various payment methods. Prepare concession food items and restock supplies throughout events. Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and sanitary in compliance with health regulations. Follow responsible alcohol service practices and verify guest identification. Adapt assignments based on event needs and business demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Previous experience in banquet service, restaurant service, concessions, food service, or hospitality is preferred
- Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience is preferred
- Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Certification, or the ability to obtain required certifications within established timeframes
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, event-driven environment
- Comfortable working in both banquet service and concession operations as business needs require
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding guest service
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests
