Job Summary
Take orders and serve food and drinks to guests in bar and dining areas while recording orders in the Point-of-Sale system. Refill drinks, deliver food via tray service, and handle money transactions including accurate change and check closures. Check guest identification for alcohol service and provide menu presentation with suggestive selling. Perform opening and closing duties such as setting up soda machines, restocking, and cleaning sections. Complete required validations including safety training and alcohol certification within 60 days. Maintain a professional image, uphold Old Chicago appearance standards, and work in a team environment serving multiple tables simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol or as state regulations dictate
- 100% Walk and stand
- 50% Carry service tray weighing up to 40 lbs from kitchen to bar or dining area
- 50% Operate Point-of-Sale system and make correct change
- 25% Reach, bend, stoop, wipe, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Navigating steps if applicable to the location
- Successful completion of hourly position validations, including company-required training (safety, systems, menu) and passing alcohol certification (ServSafe) within 60 days of employment
