Job Summary
Provide efficient, friendly guest service to a 3-6 table section in a bustling Nashville sushi-restaurant environment. Responsibilities include taking and delivering orders, accurately recording items, processing payments, balancing sales/receipts, and upselling current promotions. Must understand the menu and allergen procedures, respond to guest questions with knowledge and courtesy, and maintain high energy in a busy setting. Operate POS terminals and complete alcohol awareness training. Ensure guest experience exceeds expectations by greeting guests warmly, anticipating needs, handling guest challenges tactfully, and collaborating with team members. Requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining room, stand/walk for an entire shift, and lift up to 50 pounds. Available to work a variety of hours including weekends; a team-player attitude and adherence to safety, sanitation, and company policies are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts
- Strong communication and guest-service skills
- Knowledge of POS systems a plus
- Alcohol awareness training a plus
