Job Summary
Provide immediate and continuous service to all guests upon seating, set up assigned side work, and inspect tables in your section. Suggestive selling on menu items and highlight specials while taking guest orders and placing orders with the kitchen through the POS. Verify check accuracy including taxes and tips, reset tables, and maintain cleanliness of tables, FOH, and BOH. Advise supervisors of complaints and act to resolve them, while performing clean-up and closing duties as assigned. Attend pre-meal meetings and work evenings during the summer season (April-October) in an outdoor setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work evenings
- Must be available during the summer season (April-October)
- Must be able to work in an outdoor setting
- Knowledge of state liquor regulations; ability to identify when a guest/member has had his/her alcohol limit
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
