Job Summary
Provide friendly, efficient, professional server service at the HoMA café, greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, bussing and resetting tables, supporting café staff for opening/closing duties, and performing related duties such as cashiering, bartending, or catering as needed. Must maintain excellent customer service, adhere to food safety and etiquette standards, obtain Liquor Server Certification, and work a schedule including lunch and evening shifts in a fast-paced, outdoor/indoor dining environment. Desirable qualifications include ServSafe or ANSI Food Handler certification and experience with POS systems and varied cooking techniques; willingness to support diverse visitors and collaborate with café team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of prior experience serving customers in a restaurant and/or catering environment
- Demonstrates broad knowledge of table service etiquette and food safety practices
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences with a strong enthusiasm for food and beverage
- Honesty, integrity, enthusiasm, perspective, and a strong work ethic supported by commitment and follow-through
- Ability to apply common sense and judgement towards the daily functions and environment of the restaurant
- Possesses excellent customer service skills, maintaining composure and a positive attitude under stress or customer demands
- Ability to keep up with the pace of the kitchen, other staff, and customers
- Ability to work within and support a diverse community of visitors, artists, and employees
