Job Summary
Server in HCZ Food Services responsible for plating meals, setting up, breaking down, and re-setting serving lines; assisting with stocking and maintaining sanitary conditions; replenishing salad bars and milk chest; informing students about daily menu and allergens; collecting student feedback to boost breakfast and lunch participation; works in a fast-paced culinary environment, reporting to Lead Server/Sous Chef while empowered to make decisions with management approval; requires High School Diploma, NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate, and at least two years of food service experience; part-time schedule with competitive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid DOH NYC Food Protection Certificate
- Minimum of two years experience in food service/customer service
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
- Basic culinary knowledge of product identification, terminology, and production
- Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including handling guest complaints and disputes and resolving them to satisfactory results
- Completion of on-site certifications provided by the employer
