Job Summary
Server role at Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel (Full-time Secondment) in Port Perry, ON. Responsibilities include taking drink and food orders, serving patrons, maintaining a cash float and completing cash-out procedures using the SilverWare POS, setting up and clearing tables, maintaining a clean workstation, communicating beverage alcohol activities, and complying with Smart Serve, WHMIS, and health and safety policies. The position requires outstanding customer service in a high-volume licensed establishment, ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Reports to the Food and Beverage Supervisor and aligns with the company’s health, safety, and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Food and Beverage experience in a high volume licensed establishment
- Minimum 1 year of serving experience in a licensed establishment
- Smart Serve and WHMIS certified
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to prioritize and possess excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills to maintain good rapport with customers and employees
- The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
- Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights
