Job Summary
Take customer food and drink orders, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments while escorting guests to tables and clearing them. Ensure patrons meet minimum age requirements for alcohol by checking identification and provide courteous service in a warm, friendly manner. Clear and reset tables, operate the P.O.S. system, and manage cashiering functions for closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork. Perform opening and closing procedures, maintain stocked and tidy side stands, and complete other assigned tasks during station rotations. Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and maintain required certifications including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
