Job Summary
Server position at The Gulfstream Restaurant (Four Points by Sheraton, Kelowna Airport) focusing on delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a busy upscale setting. Responsibilities include mastering the sequence of service, knowing all menus, answering guest questions about items and wines, handling cashiering and POS procedures, communicating service requirements to team members, maintaining clean work areas, performing opening/closing duties, operating restaurant equipment, assisting guests with inquiries, and adhering to health and safety policies. The role requires 1+ year of serving experience in a high-volume upscale environment, knowledge of fine dining and regional wines/beverages, strong interpersonal and multitasking skills, a team player attitude, Serving It Right certification, and the ability to stand for long periods. Required Qualifications
- 1+ year's of previous Serving experience in upscale high-volume establishment preferred
- Basic knowledge of fine dining and regional wines and beverages
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Valid Serving It Right certification
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Passion for food and beverage and exceptional customer service
