Job Summary
Assist with food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room; serve meals to residents in an assisted living community, assist residents with meals, deliver food to residents' rooms, prepare and serve snacks, and help with weekly orders. Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards, follow departmental procedures, and comply with state regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff; protect resident confidentiality; and perform other tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates
- Must provide written proof of recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of date of hire
- Willingness to work with the elderly
- Positive attitude and deliver a WOW experience through service
