Job Summary
Greet customers, verify reservations, and guide them to tables while taking precise food and beverage orders using the POS system or memory. Transmit orders to kitchen and bar staff, noting special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies. Serve plated meals and drinks, confirming accuracy before leaving tables, and refill beverages or clear courses at appropriate intervals. Address guest complaints calmly, generate itemized bills, and split checks as requested. Ladle soup, toss salads, and brew coffee while maintaining composure in a fast-paced dining environment. This role requires an ABC card and involves working with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Required Qualifications
- ABC card
- valid ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Commission) card
- attend the approved alcohol awareness class
- comply with the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission
- High School or GED
- Restaurant experience as Server, Busser or Host/Hostess
- Computer preferred for point-of-sale
- Active listening skills
- ability to articulate information both verbally and in writing

- Ability to lift heavy trays with food or dirty dishes…40 pounds or more with assistance
- Walking and standing for extended periods of time
