Job Summary
Server Engineer to provide server installation support, deployments, upgrades, and ongoing server/OS/configuration activities. Responsibilities include coordinating server installations, updating technical documentation, performing routine and emergency server installations, upgrades, and migrations across local facilities, ensuring security patches and software deployments (Windows Server, Oracle OEL, Linux, SQL Server) are applied, and providing technical guidance to the SA team. Requires Secret Clearance, onsite work in Chantilly, VA, and travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Server/Network
- Must have a current Secret Clearance
- One or more IT industry certifications
- Hands on experience with VMware, vSphere
- Hands on experience with server installations including Windows Server, SQL Server, Oracle OEL, Linux and Database Support
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications
- Must be able to travel at least 25%
- Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and work in constrained spaces
