Job Summary
Complete and pass required training modules, know your schedule, and arrive on time. Greet guests within a specified timeframe, present menus, and answer menu questions while up-selling items. Take beverage orders, deliver drinks, and input orders accurately into the system. Pick up orders, present plates, and ensure guest satisfaction by checking back within designated timeframes. Perform pre-bussing, table maintenance, and side duties as assigned. Audit and present checks, accurately complete payments, and report tips. Thank guests and invite them to return. This role supports the superior guest service central to Eddie Merlot's mission. Candidates must have two or more years of server experience, preferably in fine dining, and hold a state liquor license. The position requires a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to stand for five hours and lift 35 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more year's experience as a Server, preferably in a fine dining restaurant
- Meet state age requirement for the position
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively
- Clean and professional appearance
- Must have a state license to serve alcohol and understand state/local liquor regulations
- Must have professional communication and social skills appropriate for guests
- Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Lunch-time serving hours may be required for certain seasons, holidays, or special events
- Work days and hours vary in accordance with business need
- Able to stand for 5 or more hours at a time
- Able to lift and carry 35 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to lift and carry trays of food and beverages
- Physical ability to grasp, stoop, reach, balance, move tables, and perform similar job-related movements
