Job Summary
Deliver fast, friendly service to hundreds of guests by accurately taking food and drink orders, entering them into Micros, and ensuring timely delivery. Maintain a warm atmosphere by greeting seated guests, bussing tables, assisting with party setup, and checking back on guest needs. Operate credit card machines correctly, manage cash and coin, and adhere to sanitation and alcohol awareness procedures. Work days, nights, and weekends in a noisy environment, lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be skilled in effectively communicating with Guests
- Must demonstrate ability to operate Micros
- Must demonstrate ability to make changes
- Must demonstrate ability to accurately conduct credit card transactions
- Must demonstrate ability to account of all monies at the end of each shift
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Must be able to listen to hear Guests' orders and needs
- Must be able to communicate with Guests verbally
- Must be able to communicate with other Team Members verbally via Micros system
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work days, nights and/or weekends as required
- Must be able to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- Must be able to read and write handwritten notes
- Must be able to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk or stand 100% of shift
- Must be able to reach, bend and stoop frequently
- Must adhere to company's sanitation procedures
- Must follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests
- Must be able to assess Guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager
- Must be able to greet newly seated Guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Must be able to accurately take Guests' food and drink orders
- Must maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items
- Must be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- Must be able to enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
- Must be able to use appropriate modifications and charges
- Must be able to ensure food is properly garnished
- Must be able to deliver trays to designated table server's own section
- Must be able to deliver trays to other sections in the restaurant
- Must be able to bus and reset tables as needed
- Must be able to assist other Team Members as needed
- Must be able to complete station side work at the beginning and end of their shift
- Must be able to participate in all incentives and contests
- Must be able to follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control
- Must be able to check back after delivery of food
- Must be able to maintain drink levels
- Must be able to remove clutter
- Must be able to pre-buss as necessary
- Must be able to respond to Guest needs in a timely manner
- Must be able to keep station clean
- Must be able to set up and take down station tables appropriately
- Must be able to maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members
- Must be able to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
- Must be able to keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
- Must be able to dress in proper dress code requirements
- Must be able to look neat, clean and professional at all times
