Job Summary
Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through fast, friendly service and attentive care. Accurately take food and drink orders, enter them into Micros, and ensure proper garnishing and delivery. Maintain personal sales accountability, conduct credit card transactions, and manage cash and coin. Keep stations clean, assist with party setup and breakdown, and buss tables as needed. Monitor guest demeanor, follow alcohol awareness procedures, and address unusual matters promptly. Foster a cooperative team climate while adhering to sanitation and dress code requirements. Work days, nights, and weekends in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Must be skilled in effectively communicating with Guests
- Must demonstrate ability to operate Micros
- Must demonstrate ability to make changes
- Must demonstrate ability to accurately conduct credit card transactions
- Must demonstrate ability to account of all monies at the end of each shift
- Must be able to listen to hear Guests' orders and needs
- Must be able to communicate with Guests verbally
- Must be able to communicate with other Team Members verbally via Micros system
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work days, nights and/or weekends as required
- Must be able to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- Must be able to read and write handwritten notes
- Must be able to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk or stand 100% of shift
- Must be able to reach, bend and stoop frequently
- Must adhere to company's sanitation procedures
- Must follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests
- Must be able to assess Guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager
- Must greet newly seated Guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Must accurately take Guests' food and drink orders
- Must maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items
- Must be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- Must enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
- Must ensure food is properly garnished
- Must deliver trays to designated table server's own section
- Must deliver trays to other sections in the restaurant, as needed
- Must work quickly and efficiently adhering to Full hands in, Full hands out philosophy
- Must assist in party set up and breakdown
- Must buss and reset tables as needed
- Must assist other Team Members as needed or as business dictates
- Must be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys
- Must complete station side work at the beginning and end of their shift
- Must participate in all incentives and contests
- Must drive sales and promote the brand
- Must follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control
- Must ensure ongoing Guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food
- Must maintain drink levels
- Must remove clutter
- Must pre-buss as necessary
- Must respond to Guest needs in a timely manner
- Must keep station clean
- Must set up and take down station tables appropriately
- Must maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members
- Must foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
- Must keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
- Must be dressed in proper dress code requirements
- Must look neat, clean and professional at all times
- Must keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Must take prompt corrective action where necessary
