Job Summary
Complete pre-shift and post-shift side work to ensure total cleanliness and smooth restaurant operation. Serve multiple tables, take orders using a hand-held computer, and process payments while checking guest identification for alcohol service. Suggestively sell food and beverage items, including up-selling specific brands, and handle all drinks by the stem or on a coaster. Clear and reset tables, warn guests of hot items, and assist with busser duties as needed. Notify managers immediately regarding intoxicated guests or order delays. Maintain a neat uniform, follow all safety and compliance policies, and pass the required server aptitude test.
Required Qualifications
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Must be able to make correct change
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Multi-task oriented
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- Satisfactorily passing a SERVER APTITUDE TEST with a passing percentage rate of 85% or higher
- Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
- Be Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on an as-needed basis
