Job Summary
Greet customers warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately, and communicate needs to the kitchen while ensuring a memorable dining experience. Prepare tables, refill condiments, and manage seating assignments. Handle payments, resolve issues quickly, and perform basic cleaning tasks as needed. Assist with special events, fill in for absent team members, and support customers with disabilities. Bus tables, assist with kitchen prep, and clean front-of-house areas including windows and entrances. Work flexible hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, while adhering to grooming standards and food safety certifications.
Required Qualifications
- One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred
- Prior guest relations training
- Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
- Experience working with POS (Toast, Micros, Aloha, etc.) and reservation software (Toast)
- Knowledge of proper food handling
- Strong written/verbal communications skills
- Positive upbeat attitude/personality
- Punctuality and reliable attendance are required
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and other team members
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision
- Must be willing to work flexible hours such as mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Regularly required to stand and walk for a prolonged period of time, transport materials or equipment, and lifting, moving, or carrying heavy objects over 30 lbs
- Occasionally lifting, moving, or carrying objects up to 50 lbs
- Regularly requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity to grasp, handle, feel, reach, extending arms overhead, etc
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, etc
- Must be capable of working effectively in both a hot and cold extreme temperature environment. Work surfaces may be unlevel, slippery, or unstable
