Job Summary
Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner; set and clear dining tables; deliver tray service as required; assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery; maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area; assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events; contribute to orientation and training of new culinary staff; comply with health and safety legislation and department policies; respect Resident Rights; participate in in-service training and staff meetings; engage in the organization’s Quality Improvement Program; uphold the Code of Conduct and organizational values; assist with tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Preference for experience in food service
- experience with seniors is preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand/walk for long shifts
- proficiency in a second language is an asset
- Current VPS (Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening) or willingness to obtain one upon hire
