Job Summary
Bar Down Tavern (Breckenridge Grand Vacations) is seeking a guest-focused Server to join our slopeside team. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, serve meals and drinks, check in with guests for satisfaction, anticipate needs, maintain clean dining areas, process payments, and adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Responsibilities include collaborating with front-of-house and kitchen staff, assisting with setup and breakdown, upholding resort appearance standards, attending trainings, supporting peak times, and contributing to special events and sustainability initiatives. Requirements include 18+ years old, 1 year of high-volume hospitality experience, strong customer service and communication skills, multitasking ability, basic math for payments and tips, willingness to obtain Colorado Responsible Alcohol Training within 30 days, physical stamina for long shifts, and a flexible weekend/evening schedule. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years in resort or fine-dining settings, bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish), POS familiarity (Toast, Micros), ServSafe or similar certifications, and related hospitality experience. Compensation is $12.14 per hour plus gratuities, with a varied schedule including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old (due to alcohol service regulations)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
- Exceptional customer service skills—friendly, patient, and guest-focused
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills; clear, professional, and collaborative
- Basic math skills (handle payments, calculate tips, split checks)
- Willingness to obtain Colorado Responsible Alcohol Vendor Certification (within 30 days of hire)
- Physical stamina to stand/walk for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs., and navigate a busy dining room
- Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed)
