Job Summary
Take guest orders using menu knowledge and situational selling, then serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring all items meet company standards. Communicate professionally to determine needs, explain promotions, and describe menu items accurately. Input orders into the POS system, pre-bus tables, and assist with approved side work as outlined. Practice safe food handling, clean up, and safely operate equipment like knives and coffee makers. Effectively handle guest complaints by involving the manager when necessary, while interacting with crowds and putting guests at ease. Stand for entire shifts, walk long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work flexible hours with early close and no late nights. Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Reach with hands
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Bend and stoop
- Verbally communicate with others
- Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
