Job Summary
Take guest orders using menu knowledge and situational selling techniques, then serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring all items meet company standards. Communicate professionally with guests to determine needs, explain promotions, and handle complaints by involving management when necessary. Input orders accurately into the POS system, pre-bus tables, and safely handle food prep equipment like knives and coffee makers. Practice safe food handling, clean up thoroughly, and assist with approved side work as outlined in the binder. Effectively manage crowds and put guests at ease while they wait for meals or carryout orders. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize, good organizational skills
- Computer skills (POS system)
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach with hands
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to verbally communicate with others
- Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to freely access all areas of restaurant including selling floor(s), stock area, and register area
