Job Summary
Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds, introducing yourself and informing them of specials and menu changes. Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the micros system with double-checked accuracy, and deliver items from the kitchen and bar in a timely manner. Anticipate guest needs for napkins, refills, and plates while maintaining clean service areas and pre-busing tables. Prepare final bills, process payments, and assist the bus person/hostess with clearing tables. Build regulars and monitor dining experiences to ensure satisfaction, responding promptly to requests. Work in a standing position for up to five hours, safely lifting trays weighing up to 25 pounds. Assist fellow servers and fill in as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of service experience
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a micros system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
