Job Summary
Take customer food and drink orders, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments. Escort guests to tables, set up and clear tables, and operate the cash register while verifying patron identification for alcohol compliance. Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional service standard by thoroughly knowing menus, specials, and restaurant organization. Clear and reset tables as needed, familiarize yourself with the P.O.S. system, and perform cashiering functions for closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork. Execute opening and closing procedures and side work duties according to station rotation assignments, ensuring tables and side stands remain stocked, tidy, and clean. Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and all applicable certification requirements, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
