Job Summary
Greet guests, take beverage and food orders, and serve cocktails or menu items while up-selling concept products. Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure safety, verify identification, and alert management of incidents. Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering, accurately account for sales, and complete assigned side work. Communicate effectively with co-workers and staff using the point of sales system to maintain guest satisfaction. Handle items up to 50 pounds, stand throughout the facility, and perform bending or lifting as needed. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Reading and writing abilities
- Basic math skills
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, carts, boxes, bottles, etc.)
- Must be able to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift
- Handling food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
