Job Summary
Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and describe menu items while suggesting products. Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, verify identification, and ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcohol. Clear, clean, and reset tables; restock bar inventory; and provide opening and closing inventory of spirits. Operate the cash register/POS, receive payments, count cash, and provide change. Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, and garnish preparation. Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant area, dispose of waste, and perform deep cleaning of the outlet. Ensure taps, coolers, and appliances are clean and in working order. Follow all company and safety policies, report maintenance problems, and perform other duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification
- High school or equivalent education
- One to three years food service experience
- Micros POS experience
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Must possess basic computational ability
- Knowledge of table and bar service
- Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F)
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings
- Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external customers
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Ability to collect accurate information
- Knowledgeable about basic function of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- Self-driven and able to work independently
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Must have excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years food service experience preferred
- Micros POS experience preferred
