Job Summary
Anticipate and accommodate guest needs while actively taking orders, presenting menus, and making beverage suggestions. Accurately enter orders into the POS system, follow payment procedures, and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks in compliance with state regulations. Maintain general cleanliness of stations and the venue, properly set tables, and complete opening and closing procedures including stocking side-stations and reporting equipment damage. Communicate guest requirements to support staff and managers while attending daily pre-service meetings and training sessions. Requires 2 years of server experience, comprehensive cocktail knowledge, and ability to stand and lift up to 75 lbs. in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with irregular evening and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years server experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience
- Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience
- Experience in Fine Dining preferred
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
- Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails
- Basic familiarity with wine varietals and classic regions around the world
- Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
- Must have good positive energy throughout the day
- Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly
- Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
- May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
- Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
