Job Summary
Prepare the dining room and beverage station, maintain table cleanliness, and polish glassware and cutlery. Deliver all dishes and beverages from the kitchen to guests while answering menu questions and ensuring steps of service are followed. Greet guests with enthusiasm, execute pre- and post-shift side work, and assist servers to contribute to a positive dining experience. Work closely with the front-of-house and back-of-house teams at the newly reimagined Whaling Bar, which promotes from within and offers company-wide discounts.
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge and interest in food and wine with a desire to learn and grow
- Actively practice food safety procedures
- Able to take direction and complete tasks
- Organizational skills with careful attention to detail
- Pleasant demeanor and professional composure
- Ability to engage guests successfully and build a relationship
- Punctual with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic with the ability to multitask
- A warm, compassionate, and team-focused approach
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs if necessary
- Stand for long periods during service
