Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, deliver food and beverages accurately, and engage in professional, brand-aligned conversation while explaining menu items, ingredients, and allergen warnings. Assist servers by running food and desserts, garnishing dishes, preparing drinks, and performing suggestive selling. Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve issues immediately, and process payments with itemized receipts. Support service by stocking coffee and condiments, cleaning equipment, washing glassware, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas. Escort guests to tables, check identification, and communicate needs to management. Maintain a polished uniform and adhere to all Steps of Service. Prior experience in fine dining is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in fine dining or upscale service
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and adherence to company grooming standards
- Accuracy when handling money and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
- Deep knowledge about Cake Bake Shop products
- Knowledge of ingredients, allergen warnings, and dietary restrictions
- Ability to check guest identification to verify legal age for alcohol service
- Ability to maintain awareness of allergen and dietary accommodations
- Ability to maintain a polished and clean uniform consistent with company standards
- Ability to adhere to all Steps of Service: greeting, timing, glitter, offerings, celebrations, and retail engagement
- Ability to accurately record all hours worked through the timekeeping system
- Ability to adhere to the rule that off-the-clock work is strictly prohibited
- Ability to obtain Manager approval for any extended sidework or shift extensions
