Job Summary
Take orders, serve food and beverage, and process transactions while maintaining impeccable dining room cleanliness before, during, and after service. Recommend menu offerings and daily specials to create a quality guest experience, communicating guest choices and dietary needs to the bar and kitchen. Demonstrate expert knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and allergens while adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Perform assigned side work in compliance with 80/20/30 rules and manage cash registers at shift start and close. This seasonal position requires 2+ years of fine dining server experience, a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, and the ability to lift 30–50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years Server experience in a fine dining, high volume setting
- Personable demeanor, instinctive nature, and ability to deliver world-class hospitality
- Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong aptitude for clear and compelling communication, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrate ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks, ensuring prompt service to guests while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to guest needs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis)
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time
- Expert knowledge of all menu items, as well as daily specials
- Ability to effectively describe each dish as well as the ingredients, preparation/techniques, purveyors and allergens
