Job Summary
Anticipate and accommodate guest needs while maintaining table cleanliness, resetting tables, and clearing banquettes during service. Deliver and refill water as requested, set tables with proper settings, and stock side-stations with prescribed supplies. Communicate guest requirements to servers, managers, and chefs, and report any equipment breakage or damage immediately. Complete opening and closing duties, including wiping down surfaces and marking tables for upcoming courses. Participate in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings. This role supports the Tao Group Hospitality dining room and lounge teams in a fast-paced environment requiring extended standing, lifting up to 75 lbs, and navigating varying noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
- Must have good positive energy throughout the day
- Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly
- Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
- Must be effective as part of a team
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
- May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Previous busser experience preferred
- Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
