Job Summary
Server Assistant supports service, bartending and host/hostess staff to maintain smooth guest service in the restaurant. Responsibilities include bussing tables, assisting servers, delivering food and drinks, providing beverage refills, maintaining restroom cleanliness, restocking bar and server items (glasses, garnishes, ice, beer, plates, silverware), removing trash, and performing assigned cleaning duties. The role requires reading/writing and verbal communication, mobility throughout the shift, ability to lift up to 15 pounds (and up to 25 pounds for glass racks), and compliance with Food Handlers Card and Oregon OLCC Card requirements; candidates must be 18+ to work evening shifts. There is a minimum-wage plus tips compensation with merit increases and semi-annual evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Reading, writing and verbal communication skills
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Transports and carries objects up to 15 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
- Must possess and/or obtain a valid Food Handlers Card prior to employment
- In Oregon must possess and/or obtain a valid OLCC Card to serve alcohol within 30 days of employment
- Must be 18 years of age to work evening shift
