Job Summary
Server Assistant at Hawkers Asian Street Food supports servers and front-of-house to deliver a seamless, clean, welcoming dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant; duties include greeting guests and assisting servers, clearing and resetting tables, transporting and sanitizing ware, running food and drinks, responding to guest requests, inspecting/restocking restrooms, assisting with opening/closing duties, and collaborating with team to ensure guest satisfaction; availability must include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Greet guests warmly as they are seated and assist servers with bringing beverages and initial table needs.
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently after guests depart, ensuring the dining room is always guest-ready.
- Transport used tableware, glassware, and silverware to the dish room and place items in the appropriate areas for washing.
- Clean and sanitize tabletops, chairs, and booths between seatings.
- Run food and drinks to tables as directed by servers and managers.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and communicate needs to the server immediately.
- Inspect and clean assigned restrooms as needed throughout the shift.
- Support the host team with restroom restocking responsibilities.
- Assist with ongoing side work and opening/closing duties as assigned.
- Thank guests as they leave and contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere throughout the shift.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to support the smooth operation of the restaurant.
- Collaborate with all team members and step in to help wherever needed — we succeed together.
- Perform other duties as assigned by restaurant management.
- Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age (required due to alcohol service environment).
